Westlake
The town of Westlake was settled in 1847. In 1956, a Dallas Attorney, Glen Turner, purchased 2,000 acres and that area became known as Circle T Ranch. This area was incorporated as Westlake shortly after that. In the mid-1970s, Circle T Ranch was purchased by Nelson Bunker Hunt and later purchased by Ross Perot, Jr. in 1993.
Today, Westlake, is home to the highly exclusive Vaquero Golf Club (home for numerous professional athletes and even the Jonas Brothers) and the highly acclaimed Westlake Academy charter school. The median age of Westlake is 47 years.
